3B9    - Recently active as 3B8G from Mauritius Island [425DXN 1817], Suvar-
         na, VU3OPT (OM0GA) has been QRV as 3B9G (not 3B9N, as he originally
         announced)  from Rodrigues Island (AF-017)  since 16 April.  He now
         expects to remain there until 22 May.
BY     - Ten stations (B0CRA, B1CRA,  B2CRA,  B3CRA,  B4CRA,  B5CRA,  B6CRA,
         B7CRA, B8CRA, B9CRA)  from across the country will be active on 3-5
         May for the annual "5.5 China Amateur Radio Festival" on air event,
         organized by the Chinese Radio Amateurs Club (CRAC). QSLs via LoTW.

F      - On 27 March 1899, Guglielmo Marconi achieved the first internation-
         al wireless transmission,  sending Morse code signals between Wime-
         reux (near Boulogne-sur-Mer), France, and the South Foreland Light-
         house in Dover, England. Commemorating this milestone in the histo-
         ry of telecommunications, the special event station  TM8DW  will be
         active from Wimereux on  25 April  during the International Marconi
         Day, and sporadically until June. QSL via Club Log's . In addition,
         GB2DOVER, GB2SFL  and GB8DW  will be operated by the  Dover Amateur
         Radio Club on the British side of the Channel.
I      - Look for IY0CG, IY0GA (Sardinia), IY0IMD,  IY0MMR,  IY0ORP,  IY0TC,
         IY1MR, IY1SM, IY1SP, IY1TO,  IY4FGM, IY5PIS, IY6GM, and IY7M  to be
         active during the International Marconi Day (25 April). IY0IMD (lo-
         cator JN52VC) and IY7M (locator JN81KD)  will operate  also  on QO-
         100. QSL via operators' instructions. These stations are affiliated
         to the  "Coordinamento Stazioni Marconiane Italiane"  which gathers
         amateur radio stations operating from historic Marconi sites locat-
         ed in Italy (https://csmi.altervista.org/wp/).
JA     - Look for JE1HXZ/6 to be active from  Kuchino Island, Tokara Islands
         (AS-049) on 21-28 April.  He will operate CW, SSB, RTTY and FT8/FT4
         on the HF bands and 6 metres. QSL via Club Log's OQRS, and LoTW.
ON     - OT26EPIC is the special callsign  for the Antwerp Port Contest Club
         (ON8APC)  to promote  this year's edition of the  Antwerp Port Epic
         cycling  race.  Look for activity between  25 April and 25 May (the
         actual day the race will be held on). QSL via ON8JJ.
PA     - PG75HSC is the special callsign for  Theo, PA3HEN  to celebrate the
         75th anniversary of the Radio Telegraphy Highspeed Club (HSC) until
         the end of the year. QSL via home call, and LoTW.
         Also joining the celebrations is Artur, SP3LPR as  3Z75HSC (QSL via
         home call, direct or bureau).
         The club was founded in 1951  as  a community within the  Deutscher
         Amateur Radio Club (DARC). To date, membership has grown to include
         1400+ operators all over the world: http://www.highspeedclub.org.
PJ4    - "TJ", PE1OJR is active holiday style as PJ4TB from Bonaire (SA-006)
         until 4 May.  He operates SSB, FT8 and FT4 on 40-6 metres.  QSL via
         LoTW.
UR     - Commemorating the 40th anniversary  of the  Chernobyl Nuclear Power
         Plant disaster (26 April 1986), the special callsign  EN40CNP  will
         be used on 18-30 April  from various locations across Ukraine. QSOs
         will be uploaded to LoTW and QRZ.
YB     - Special callsigns  8A147RA,  8A147KAR, 8A147TI, and 8A147NI will be
         active on 18-20 April commemorating the 147th anniversary since the
         birth of Raden Adjeng Kartini (1879-1904). Look for activity on the
         five classic bands SSB, CW, FT8.  Certificates  and  eQSLs  will be
         available on  https://hamaward.cloud;  paper cards  via  Club Log's
         OQRS, or via N2OO. R.A. Kartini  was  an activist who advocated for
         women's rights  and  female education;  in 1964 she was awarded the
         title of National Hero of Indonesia.
Z6     - Team Z66SP  (namely SP1D, SP2AS,  SP2HQY, SP2R, SP2RBA, and SQ2IHP)
         will be active from near Pristina, Kosovo on 23-28 April. They plan
         to operate CW, SSB and FT8 on 160-10 metres,  and to participate in
         the SP DX RTTY Contest.  Depending on  time  and  local conditions,
         they will also be QRV on 6 metres and on QO-100. QSL via Club Log's

Z8     - Diya, YI1DZ has renewed his contract with the  World Food Programme
         for six months,  and expects to return to Juba, South Sudan  in the
         next coming days.  Look for him to operate as Z81D on various bands
         mainly FT8 during his spare time. QSL via Club Log's OQRS, LoTW, or
         via OM3JW.

WORLD AMATEUR RADIO DAY 2026 ---> Every 18 April,  radio amateurs  worldwide
take to the airwaves  in celebration of  World Amateur Radio Day.  It was on
this day in 1925 that the  International Amateur Radio Union  was formed  in
Paris. IARU has announced that the theme for this year's World Amateur Radio
Day will be "Advancing the Spirit of Amateur Radio Through Innovation".

CQ DX MARATHON ---> The  CQ  DX  Marathon  is  a  year-long  DX  hunt,  with
participants competing to see who can work the greatest number of  countries
("entities") and CQ zones during the calendar year. Complete results of  the

INTERNATIONAL MARCONI DAY ---> Organized by the Cornish Radio Amateur  Club,
the International Marconi Day (IMD) is a 24-hour amateur  radio  event  held
annually to celebrate the birth of Guglielmo Marconi (25 April 1874). It  is
not a contest, but an opportunity for amateurs  around  the  world  to  make
contacts with historic Marconi sites  using  HF  communications  techniques.
This year's event will be held  on 25 April, from  00.00  UTC  to 23.59 UTC.

NCDXF NEWS ---> The Northern California DX Foundation  has announced a grant
to the 9T0MD DXpedition to the  Democratic Republic of the Congo  later this
year.  "This is a team that has successfully completed many DXpeditions  and
plans  are ready  for success once again.  They plan to favor  CW and  Phone
modes  and  will  for  the  first  time  be  on  satellite  and  EME".   See

The 2026 Annual Board Meeting of the  Northern California DX Foundation took
place on 13 April.  Officers were elected:  Craig Thompson K9CT (President),
Ned Stearns  AA7A  (Vice President),  Glenn Johnson, W0GJ  (Secretary),  Don
Greenbaum N1DG (Treasurer). The current board members are Kevin Rowett K6TD,
Tom Berson ND2T,  Lee Finkel KY7M, John Miller K6MM, Rich Seifert KE1B, Dave
Anderson K4SV. The board thanked Kevin, K6TD for his 5-year service as Pres-
ident.

organized DXpeditions to desirable DXCC entities  and to support advances in
DXpeditioning skills, technology, and infrastructure.  These funds come from

SWODXA DX FORUM ---> Moderated by  Brian Bathe, AD8FD,  and sponsored by the
SouthWest Ohio DX Association,the  DX Forum at this year's Dayton Hamvention
features  three  in-depth  presentations  that  span the  extremes of modern
DXing, from the  most remote island on Earth  to fully remote, solar-powered
operations  and  real-world  lessons  learned  when conditions  do not go as
planned:
- "3Y0K Bouvet Island. The Second Time Around" (presented by KT8X nd W9AP);
- "Desecheo 2026 DXpedition. The First All Solar Powered Unattended
  DXpedition in History" (presented by NP4G and HI3R);
- "Failures and Lessons Learned from DXing in Adverse Conditions" (presented
  by N6PSE).
The DX Forum will be held Saturday, 16 May in Room 1  from 10:15 to 13:20 at

UK/EI DX CONTESTS ---> The aim of these contests is  to promote contacts be-
tween stations in the United Kingdom and Ireland (UK/EI) and stations in the
rest of the world (DX).  In partnership with the RSGB, the IRTS and the GMDX
Group, this year's contests will run on  25-26th April (CW) and 31 October-1
November (SSB), from 12 UTC on Saturday to 12 UTC on Sunday.  Complete rules

WORLDWIDE HOLYLAND DX CONTEST (WWHC) ---> The  traditional  Holyland Contest
has become the  Worldwide Holyland DX Contest  since 2023.  Any station any-
where can work any other station for points;  contacts with  4X/4Z  stations
will  attract  more  points. The contest  will  take  place on  17-18 April,
from  21.00  UTC on  Friday  until  20.59 UTC  on Saturday  (24 hours).  See
