As a follow up from the Xrouter mailing list:

For the confused: 
AXIP: protocol 93, no further encapsulation
AXUDP: protocol 17 (UDP) and port (for example) 10093
AXTCP: protocol 6 (TCP) and port (for example) 10093
Note because AXUDP and AXTCP run on different IP protocol numbers, you
can run both AXUDP and AXTCP on the same numeric TCP/UDP port number
(just make sure your router/firewall understands your intentions here).
