No early checkins. Net order is Daryl, Bob (NY), Bob (OK), Rosti, and whoever else shows up. Sorry I missed last week, but there was a neighborhood internet network failure, so that made me QRT. Some idiot must have taken out a pole with careless driving. The SimpliSafe Alarm System is now fully set up, and I'm really happy with it. I'm paying about the same as I was with ADT, but I'm getting more benefits. I had to pay extra for installation of the outdoor camera, but I could install all the indoor stuff myself. I got a huge bill from being in the nut case/psychiatric ward last November, but they set me up for a 4 1/2 year payment plan, with the total charge of $32 per month, including a $5 service fee. That is 1 meal from eating out, so I can deal with that. It's still a stormy time around here, but it's supposed to be in the 90s in a few days. They're expecting well over 100 in much of Texas... I'm putting some heat safety items in next month's square dance publication that I do. I had to delay my second lawn mow this month, due to the grass not growing that much, plus of juggling finances. I have to make a Post Office Box run Wednesday, as I have medications coming Tuesday, and some items from Amazon on Thursday...then we have storms forecast Friday through the weekend. GE Bob (OK), you'll be after Bob (NY). Bob (NY), I guess we lost Rosti, but I'll log him. How was your week?? >>> ** NS2B: GE All! Not a bad week. It rained most of last week. But the weekend warmed up and was sunny. Today was particularly nice. Almost 80! Mowed my yard. Hauled the mower over to MJs and mowed her yard. Then I dropped it off at the Cub Cadet dealership to fix what I think is a faulty fuel shutoff. From a cold start, it acts like it's flooded. But once running it behaves normally. They'll figure it out and take all my money! Not much new happening on the radio front. Still Winlink and packet. The old Alinco DJ-G5T I had been using for a Winlink radio I finally decided to return it to normal HT use. I think the battery has seen better days, so a new one is on it's way. That's all for me. BTU Daryl >>> ** N5VLZ: Bob, those batteries never do last, no matter what they are in. Hope they get the mower fixed, and you're right...they'll probably take all your money!! We had a nice weekend, with highs in the 70s. Very unusual for May. GE Glenn, you'll be after Bob (OK). GE Bob (OK), how was your week?? >>> ** KF5TVG: GE Daryl and all on the net! Nothing new on the radio front, but have been keeping up with Winlink Wednesdays and hamword. Have been to two Neuropathy treatments since last net. Can't say I have high hopes... This seems very similar to treatments I tried 6-8 years ago. They inject some B vitamins into my feet and attach electrodes to legs and feet and give me a mild "tingle". I guess I'll see how it goes. That's all for now. BTU Daryl>>> ** N5VLZ: Bob, I've got some minor circulation issues in my left foot, but I had to postpone 2 medical appointments this month, due to the HMO sending the drivers elsewhere, and I can't afford Lyft this month, except for a PO Box run in the morning. My sugar was down to 84 late last week, but it has rebounded. Guess I need to get some peanut butter (hi hi). FB on Winlink and Hamword. GE Glenn, how was your week?? >>> ** N3MEL: GE everyone, been a few weeks since my last net here. Camping season has started and we were out this past weekend, and had a great time. I spent some time on psk31 and made about 10 contacts on 40m. It was great to see the activity there. I am getting ready to send out the PKTNET instructions for the May net starting this coming Sunday. Been testing the new IP400 UHF high speed mesh, working with the developers to get a kiss transport later added so mesh device could be added to BPQ as local high speed port. Thats it from SEPA and BTU Daryl>>> ** N5VLZ: Glen, FB on camping season. Field Day is just over a month away. I won't be doing anything with it, though. FB also on the PKTNET deal. GL on the rest of the packet things. Rosti has been having connection issues tonight, so I will keep him on the log, but skip him for now, as I don't know if he'll be back or not. That's it for round 1...back to the top for final comments. Bob (NY), thanks for the use of the BBS...you can let me know of Rosti's status. Anything else?? >>> ** NS2B: I know he's coming in with an RF connect to N3IP. I just don't know how stable his RF connection is. Nothing more here. I think I need to take a nap after the lawn mowings today. Everyone have a good week, catch you next week! 73 >>> ** N5VLZ: Bob, mowing is a pain in the grass...that's why I pay someone else to do it (hi hi). Thanks for being here. Bob (OK), anything else?? >>> ** KF5TVG: Nope. Many thanks to Daryl and Bob for keeping this net going! 73 all! BTU>>> ** N5VLZ: Take care, Bob...see you next time. Glenn, you get to wrap it up tonight...anything else?? >>> ** N3MEL: I see Rosti here on vhf and he is using a digi and the digi keeps dropping him. Nothing more from here, have a great week and 73! CUL ** Thanks for being here, Glenn. Rosti, I better get you know before you get dropped again. >>> ** KC3FQF: Hi thank you for having me here, i am new to packet but enjoying it alot ** N5VLZ: I'll email him a PDF file on the net...if he can get in via telnet, he might have better luck. That will do it for tonight's PCL Net. We will be here next Monday, May 19, but OFF on May 26 for Memorial Day. Everyone stay safe, healthy, weather aware, and radio-active. I will either post the scribe in a bit, or sometime Tuesday. 73 and GN DE N5VLZ >>> Daryl Stout, N5VLZ, Little Rock, Arkansas Please see my QRZ bio for more information.
