Warning

Mercury 1.9.19 does not talk to Mercury 1.9.18 or any older version over the air, in either direction.
MFSK moved to the centre of the passband (1500 Hz), and the connect frames now carry protocol
version 2. Upgrade every station you talk to at once. Read RELEASE-1.9.19.md before upgrading;
it says what an operator sees with mixed versions and what was tested on air.

JNOS users: stock JNOS always asks the modem for BW500, which keeps a Mercury session at
DATAC3 or below. Our JNOS fork adds vara bw <interface> 2300 (Rhizomatica/jnos2 4850ff3).
See JNOS.md.
